Prescraft

Prescraft has partnered with hundreds of artisans in Cameroon to craft a line of ceramic products that are inspired by indigenous designs and made with traditional techniques. Potters in the village of Bamessing sculpt each earthenware piece on a wheel, trim it by hand, and glaze and fire the final products in woodburning kilns. Prescraft is committed to ecological and economic justice, and runs a reforestation program with local farms, provides opportunities for professional development, and actively works to create jobs in rural villages, minimizing the need for villagers to leave their families and migrate to urban areas to find work.
