El Tun

In a small workshop in Antigua, Guatemala, four brothers who make up the artisan community of El Tun have been working for 25 years to preserve a weaving method passed down through generations by creating handmade textiles using a treadle foot loom. The name ‘El Tun,’ which was inspired by a popular Guatemalan drum, was inspired by the rhythmic beating of the loom while they work. El Tun’s family of artisans creates an artistic line of table linens and napkins for Sobremesa, bringing an inspiring story to your dinner table.
